Each year, sometime at the very end of August or the first of September, when the fall colors reach their absolute peak, I believe that Denali National Park is the most beautiful place on Earth that day. The other 364 days of the year I am sure there are places more spectacular, but when the colors are in full fiery bloom, it just doesn’t get any better.
I have spent the last eight autumns in Denali and I can tell you it never gets old. No matter how tired I am, I always find the energy to go for a hike or drive after work and gawk at nature’s colorful display. The below gallery features some of my favorite photos.

Those are absolutely wonderful shots. Makes we want to go there.
Thank you. Alaska is amazing all year, but the 2-3 weeks when the fall colors are in bloom it is one of the most beautiful on earth. The beauty is staggering but fleeting.
That is too often the issue with fall. I always wish my favourite season would last longer.

I love the fall colors at the Park! No place like it by the end of August 🙂
Agreed. Denali in the fall is absurdly beautiful.
