Thanks Kevin. Did you ever make it over to Juneau? This spot is only a one-mile hike from the visitor center, but that deters almost everyone! It was a nice spot.
Unfortunately the extent of my experience with Juneau was a 20 minute layover in the airport, on my way to/from Glacier Bay. Which is sad, because SE Alaska was the only part of the state that I was ever interested in before I moved there.

Yes, crazy and fantastic. Did you enjoy Glacier Bay? Juneau is okay, but kind of ruined by cruise ships I think. I like Seward better for a coastal town.
Didn’t get to see much of Glacier Bay when the company sent me there in 2012 to help them open up. I worked insane hours during the 3 days I was there. Did a 1 hour “hike” shortly before departing. Oh well.

That sounds horrible. I went to close down for a week and got to see quite a bit.
