Jeff, my favorite is the hill side shot of Oia. I do pencil sketches and they turn out much like this photo. Lots of contrast between very dark and very light areas.

And yes, I’ve been to Greece a couple times. My favorite place is a little fishing village on the southern coast of Crete called Agia Galini.

And a side note, If we ever meet up, I’ll be the one wearing the black Greek Fisherman’s Hat. I bought one there on my first trip and have been wearing one ever since, (for the past 40 years). It’s become my trademark. I don’t think even my kids would recognize me without my hat. 🙂

    • The view of Oia was made for artists, whether the medium is photography, pencil sketches or paint. Such a beautiful place.

Crete was my favorite place in Greece but I did not go to this village. Next time. Thank you for the interesting comments about your hat. You are the best commenter on my blog.

  2. Stunning photos! . . . The pictures of Oia remind me of the amazing time my husband and I spent on Santorini years ago! And your photos of Meteora are simply breathtaking; such a surreal looking place!

  3. The domes are my favorite foto, but I like all of them. Nice gallery. My favourite place in Greece is Kefalonia, which you can see in my blog
