Another fabulous collection Jeff. Makes me want to go back to Bangkok. I especially love the opening shot. I still haven’t figured out how to do that, though I’ve been trying.

Thank you Madhu. I could pan motorbikes all day long. You never know what you are going to get until after the shot is over. There is just a certain sweetness in the woman’s eyes that I like, plus no one has a helmet and the kid is riding up front. I probably take 10 blurry panning shots for ever good one.
Evidently, they put the planes in a vacant field in a Bangkok suburb. Squatters now live in them. When I go back in the fall, I’m going to try and take some photos inside if possible. It is a strange sight for sure.
Ditto what Alison and Madhu and Lex said. And what I’m hoping you’re going to tell me is that woman is putting a spider, or cockroach into that bowl…right? Love the one with the lady and the mask and the fan and the TV on the sidewalk…so third world. I’m half expecting a bear-spray story next, dude?
Unfortunately, I don’t think she was putting anything interesting into the bowl. I just snapped it and wasn’t sure what I got until later. It is mostly out of focus but I like it anyway.
I composed the photo of the lady on the sidewalk and she spun around right as I snapped it. I think the eye contact adds to it, but it was unexpected.
Hi Jeff, I think this gallery is brilliant! If at all possible, I’d love to share a link to it on my site? We share quality posts through an online travel mag platform, so we display an image from the post and a short excerpt with a linkback to this page, check out the homepage and let me know what you think! http://www.outofthestation.com

When you visit us in Bangkok next year I will show you how 🙂
Yay! But unlikely 😦
Good riding done by you
Thank you!
Superb set of Bangkok snapshots Jeff! The opening shot is my pick as well. Like Alison, my panning skills require a lot more work

Ditto what Alison and Madhu said! And the plane photo is kind of scary – what’s the story there?

Sometimes, luck is the better part of…cool.
I feel as though I can hear the noise from the streets. As to Badfish if there is bear spray in Bangkok that will be quite the blog post!
No bear spray, but I do have a good cockroach story in the future when I get time!
Wonderful captures from Bangkok! Much more interesting seeing the local daily life than seeing a photo from a turist attraction or monument.
I am you enjoyed. It has been fun to explore the local neighborhoods for sure.
Great pics. Like the black and white format. Looks like you are embracing the new homeland.

Thank you Peta. Thailand and I are a natural fit. I am excited to get back there after the summer and shoot more photos!
Must be like me and Viet Nam. Or me and Sri Lanka. Funny how we humans just have natural fits in some places.
Peta
